 ike Greco left Italy in 1955 looking for a better life. In no time at all, he recognized the enormous potential that this great new country had to offer. He believed there was no end to what you could accomplish and achieve in this new world. The love that Mike had for his family was truly the inspiration that drove his entrepreneurial spirit. Soon after arriving in Canada, he began his first business - Mike Greco Concrete and Construction. As well as employing his father and brothers, Mike’s son, Louis, soon became an integral part of the business. Louis had always had a keen interest in cement finishing. His earliest recollection of “concrete” was at the age of four when he first saw a sidewalk being poured and finished. Eventually, his entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and although attending the University of Calgary at the time, it was very clear to him that being in the concrete construction business with his father was truly his desire. And the rest, they say, is history. Today, Mike has stepped down and except for the occasional consulting service, handed all the reins down to Louis who continues the tradition of providing a quality job, from start to finish. Customers can rest assured that each and every one of their jobs, regardless of how big or small, is completely overlooked and performed by Louis and his crew personally. He wouldn’t have it any other way. |
